Terms of Use
Last updated: October 9, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Beer Counter Social app. By creating an account or using the app you accept them, together with the Privacy Policy. Contact: support@beercounter.social.
1. Who can use it
You must be at least 18, or the legal drinking age in your country if higher. You're responsible for your account and for what is done with it.
2. Responsible drinking
Beer Counter helps you remember the beers you try and count them with your friends. It doesn't encourage drinking more or faster, and it doesn't measure how much alcohol you've had or whether you can drive. Drink responsibly and never drink and drive.
3. Community rules
What you post on the map (text, photos, comments) and in groups is seen by other people. We don't tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post:
- hate speech, harassment, threats or insults;
- sexual content or nudity;
- violence, illegal activities or anything that puts someone at risk;
- spam, unauthorized advertising or impersonation;
- other people's personal data without their permission.
Any user can report a post, comment or public group, and block another user to stop seeing their content, from the "⋯" menu. We review reports within 24 hours. If something breaks these rules, we remove it and may suspend or delete the account that posted it without notice.
4. Your content
What you post remains yours. You give us permission to store it and show it in the app to the relevant people for as long as you don't delete it. You're responsible for having the right to post it.
5. Premium and purchases
- Subscriptions and purchases are made through Apple and are subject to its terms.
- The annual subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel it in your iPhone Settings, under your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple.
- Premium features may change over time, without removing what you've already paid for in the current period.
Anything not covered here is governed by Apple's standard license agreement.
6. Beer catalog
The catalog combines our own data with public data from Open Food Facts (ODbL license) and Wikidata (CC0). It may contain errors, and each beer's details (ABV, style, country) are for guidance only.
7. Availability and liability
- We do our best to keep the app working well, but it is provided "as is", with no guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.
- To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect damages or data loss. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
9. Changes and governing law
- If we change these terms, we'll update the date above and, if the change is significant, let you know in the app.
- These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
